No justification for expansion
LIKE many others I am sure, I found your report on the aspirations of the so-called Kent Science Park owners extremely irritating. Although their proposed link road to the M2 is mentioned in the various plans, there is nothing definite about it and they have a lot of hoops to get through before it becomes a reality – and they will be strenuously opposed at each step.
How can they possibly justify trebling the size of their rural industrial park, when the
industrial areas in Sittingbourne have all the space industrialists are likely to need? And how on earth can they justify building a new town to pay for a road which will duplicate an already adequate link to the motorway network?
Obviously greed knows no bounds, but do we really have to sacrifice our rural surroundings to satisfy the needs of a small, select group of people?
