Local Plan Inquiry Postponed
We have been notified that the Swale Borough Local Plan Inquiry has been postponed until Thursday April 20th. Obviously this will lead to substantial changes to the draft programme which was due to commence on the 7th March 2006.
We have been told this is in response to the expected duration of the inquiry which as it stands would go on for several months. In light of this the Council has been asked to correspond with objectors to review whether it is necessary for all the various parties to attend the Inquiry.
We do not feel that this is applicable to us as we have engaged our representative Rosemary Lansdowne to act on our behalf, rather than having individuals represent themselves at the Inquiry.
We have also been informed that a second Inspector, David Harmston has been appointed to assist the lead Inspector David Wildsmith during the inquiry.
