KSP Site Visit

Bapchild Parish Council attended a site visit to the Kent Science Park along with the inquiry inspector, our consultant, the Science Park consultant and other objectors in order that we had a good understanding of the site prior to the Local Plan Inquiry hearing.

The Inspector discussed a 6 Hectare expansion as now proposed by way of their evidence submitted to the inquiry. We noted to the inspector that we had not received the Science Parks evidence and found it difficult therefore to understand some aspects of the discussions taking place.

The inspector was very helpful and provided a brief explanation of where the additional 6 hectares lay. We thought this was a well balanced site visit and we were able to see everything that we wanted to.
 
Currently no revised date for the hearing has been proposed, and will be submitting a formal complaint to the chief executive of Swale Borough Council with regards to the planning department withholding vital evidence.
