Swale Borough Local Plan Review (Regulation 19) Pre-submission Consultation

Your chance to comment on the review of Swale's Local Plan, you have until 5pm on Friday 30 April 2021. The local plan creates a blueprint for when and where major developments can take place, and where they shouldn’t.

Local Plan update

It is widely expected that we shall know the outcome of the inspectors report on the emerging Swale Local Plan in the next few weeks. This will provide a verdict on the possibility a limited expansion of the Kent Science Park.

KSP Site Visit

Bapchild Parish Council attended a site visit to the Kent Science Park along with the inquiry inspector, our consultant, the Science Park consultant and other objectors in order that we had a good understanding of the site prior to the Local Plan Inquiry hearing.

KSP inquiry postponed again

At the request of the Kent Science Park the hearing at the Local Plan Inquiry which was due to take place next Wednesday has been postponed.

Stones Farm sets a dangerous precedent

Although Stones Farm is not a matter for the Five Parishes Opposition Group to deal with, one can not help but be alarmed at the precedent that this development sets for the future funding of major infrastructure in Swale.

Our date at the inquiry

We have been informed that our session at the Local Plan inquiry will now be held on the 10th May 2006.

Local Plan Inquiry Postponed

We have been notified that the Swale Borough Local Plan Inquiry has been postponed until Thursday April 20th. Obviously this will lead to substantial changes...

Date set for KSP Session

We have just received a draft programme for the first three weeks of the inquiry and the Kent Science Park has been allocated a session on Thursday 23rd March. This will be divided into an AM 9:30 – 13:00 and PM 14:00 – 17:00 session.

Local Plan Inquiry

Swale Borough Council have just announced that the inquiry for the Local Plan will commence on Tuesday, 7th March 2006.
