Kent Science Park Consultation

26 Jul 2006

While I urge anyone with an interest in the future of our villages to make your opinions known, I find it most disagreeable that the only option for us to do this, is by way of a marketing questionnaire.

Why on earth should we answer a whole series of questions on matters that are largely irrelevant to this particular scheme or basis towards obtaining the kind of data that they can manipulate later on?

Questions such as “Removing through traffic from the A2 and Sittingbourne town centre” are highly misleading as an A2/M2 link would have no impact on town centre traffic at all. That was the purpose of the Northern Relief Road, had Swale Borough Councillors not squander the opportunity by abusing it to open up vast quantities of land for development.

If the A2/M2 link has any purpose it will be ease traffic between Faversham and Sittingbourne, not the town centre. However at this time, it hasn’t even been established that there is any need for such a road.

If you do not have a questionnaire form, you can obtain one by telephoning 01795 411 555 or completing it online at http://consultation.ksp-uk.com/yoursay/feedback.php

You have until midnight Sunday 6th August, 2006
