Dirty tricks as false rumours are circulated

We are given to understand that rumours have been circulated regarding the Five Parishes Opposition Groups objectives in campaigning against the Kent Science Park expansion proposals. The rumours suggest that FPOG would wish to see the Kent Science Park closed down. FPOG would like to make it abundantly clear that we DO NOT and never have campaigned to close the park. We have never made any statement, issued any literature or otherwise publicised such a viewpoint and the remarks made are entirely without substance.
FPOG’s aims and objectives have always being very clearly stated. We support sensible controlled development within the existing KSP security fence. We strongly oppose development outside of the security fence.
It is regrettable that such inflammatory and entirely untrue statements are being propagated in order to win support for the Kent Science Park’s expansion plans.
