KSP selects Bapchild for enhancement

02 Sep 2004

Robert Rummey managing director of Rummey Design Associates explained at last evenings meeting that Bapchild has been selected for enhancement. This includes 5,000 houses a new secondary school and four new primary schools.

Nick Sharpe the Site Director for the park confirmed that they have tried modelling their scheme against a lower number of houses, but 5,000 was the requirement to finance the new £30 million motorway junction. It is also worth noting that the new schools, which only the government can sanction anyway, are just to serve the extra houses and would not be able to cope with demand from elsewhere in Swale.

I have copies of the display panels shown at last nights meeting and which are on display today for the public. Electronic versions will be available in a weeks time, but I’ll see what I’m able to do in the meantime.
