HAVING read your report (July 19), which looked at the proposals for the science park extension and spoken to the man at the exhibition in The Forum, as a Swale Council taxpayer I am very concerned.

I ATTENDED the badly scheduled Kent Science Park meeting and took in what was said. Having duly picked up a copy of their glossy flier, taken it home and digested its contents, the blindingly obvious dawned on me (and many others, I suspect).

Not enough water for development

MY LAWN should be lush green, my vegetables prize-winning specimens, my shrubs blooming, my paddling pool full, my cars cleaned and the cobwebs brushed off my hosepipe, but no. The water boards have said there's a drought and you can't use your hosepipe.

M-way link road is not the answer

WE LIVE in Tunstall and are very concerned about the proposed new A2/M2 link from near Bapchild, sweeping round past Rodmersham and merging with Ruins Barns Road (the Southern Relief Road) to join the M2.

Vision of future without spin city

WE NEED more houses. If Gravesham can't take another 3,000, then Swale can. With all the extra houses, we need more jobs. Don't worry about empty industrial estates, we can expand Kent Science Park into the countryside and convert farm buildings into industrial units.
